Leadership Louisville Center planning to move into new home by summer

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville leaders are one step closer to moving into their new home.

Leadership Louisville Center is renovating the space on the corner of S. 7th Street and W. Main Street, near the KMAC Museum.

The group says its current location doesn't have enough space for workshops. The new building will have bigger offices, classroom spaces and updated technology. Center leaders say the new location is perfect for its growing program.

"We're starting to bring in more regional participation," said Cynthia Knapek, Leadership Louisville Center President. "So people are coming in from Bowling Green and Indianapolis and we wanted them to have a place where they could come in, do a little bit of training with the Leadership Louisville Center and then participate in all the great things happening on Main Street."

Renovations are expected to begin in December -- and leaders hope to move in by summer.
