POLICE: Louisville man accused of kidnapping, fracturing female victim's skull

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- St. Matthews Police have arrested a Louisville man authorities say kidnapped and injured a woman.

Salem Nagdy, 45, was arrested Oct. 19. According to the police report, Nagdy allegedly restrained a woman "in order to afflict bodily injury to and to terrorize the victim."

Police say during the kidnapping, Nagdy harmed the victim by "fracturing her skull." The victim needed 86 stitches in her head, according to investigators.

The victim was well known to Nagdy, according to police.

Nagdy was previously charged with assault, domestic violence and eavesdropping.

He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.

According to the Metro Corrections website, he is expected in court on Tuesday.
