LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three southern Indiana school resource officers are sporting new rides.

Jeffersonville Police Department gave three SUVs to officers this morning at three Greater Clark County Schools. The new Dodge Durangos are for Jeffersonville High School, Parkview Middle School and River Valley Middle School.

Each SUV features the school's name, mascot and the district logo.

"This is an opportunity again for the Jeffersonville Police Department and city of Jeffersonville to show our commitment to Greater Clark County Schools System and also to show and reaffirm students we're putting them as a priority and the focus," said Jeffersonville Police Chief Kenny Kavanaugh.

More than 10,000 students are enrolled in Greater Clark County Schools.
