LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man accused of killing three people is back in custody after he was mistakenly released from jail.

William Mason Jr. was arrested in June and pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder. His bond was set at $1 million. But prosecutors say a clerical error led to Mason being released on home incarceration earlier this month.

His lawyer says since Mason followed the rules of home incarceration, he should be allowed to stay home.

A judge ruled against that earlier this week, and Mason was returned to Metro Corrections.
