LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say two people have died after a multi-vehicle crash in Adair County.

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, the crash happened Friday just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of KY 206 and Sanders Ridge Road.

Police say 15-year-old Macie Drake, of Columbia, Kentucky, was driving south in a Can-Am UTV on Sanders Ridge Road. Officials say Drake did not stop at the intersection of KY 206.

Investigators say the UTV crossed into the path of a 2004 Ford F-250 that was traveling east. The UTV was hit in the passenger side by the truck and both vehicles went off the road.

Police say Drake and a passenger in the UTV, 15-year-old Abby Gail Curry, of Columbia, Kentucky, were pronounced dead from injuries they sustained during the crash. Officials say a third passenger, who was a 14-year-old female, was ejected from the UTV and airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She is still in critical condition, according to police.

The driver of the Ford F-250 was taken to TJ Health Columbia for treatment and later released.

Autopsies for Drake and Curry are scheduled to take place Saturday.
