LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man after he and an accomplice were involved in a triple shooting last month.

According to an arrest report, it happened on Friday, Oct. 21, at the corner of W. Hill Street and S. 12th Street, at around 3:20 p.m., where a convenience store is located.

LMPD Spokesperson Alicia Smiley said officers located three men suffering from gunshot wounds upon arrival.

The third victim was located across the street from the initial scene, inside the Save More Mart. Officials believe he was struck by a stray round. He was an employee at the store.

The victims were transported to University Hospital and officials say they are expected to survive.

According to an arrest report, police stopped 18-year-old Sinclaireon Malone and an accomplice a week later on Oct. 27. Police say officers seized a 9mm handgun from the suspects and were able to compare rounds fired from the handgun with those recovered from a stolen car allegedly used in the shooting. The bullets also matched 9mm casings found at the scene of the shooting, according to police.

Malone allegedly admitted that the gun was his.

He was arrested Monday evening and charged with three counts of first-degree assault.
