Man accused of killing two Harrison County residents pleads guilty to murder

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man accused of killing two Harrison County residents in 2013 pleaded guilty to the crime Wednesday morning.

The judge accepted Kevin "Drew" Schuler's plea of guilty to two counts of murder. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan 30 -- and the Commonwealth Attorney's Office is asking for a sentence of life without the possibility of parole.

Schuler and Austin Scott were accused of killing Gary Henderson and Sennie Arnold during a break-in at their Harrison County home in 2013. Prosecutors say Scott stabbed Henderson to death. Schuler was accused of beating Arnold to death.

Scott pleaded guilty earlier this year and has already been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

Schuler's sentencing was set for Jan. 30.

Prosecutor Otto Schalk says the state's goal from the beginning was for Schuler and Scott to "both die in prison one way or another."
