POLICE: Inmates used ductwork to escape from jail in Johnson County, Ky.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say they are looking for two inmates who escaped from jail in Johnson County.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Kentucky State Police, the inmates escaped from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center earlier this week.

Police say 25-year-old Justin Arnett and 31-year-old Melvin Garland used ductwork inside the detention center to escape.

Arnett is described as a white male, 5'-7" tall and 145 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Garland is described as a white male, 6'-0" tall and 175 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Arnett or Garland is asked to call their local law enforcement agency, or Kentucky State Police at (606) 433-7711.
