LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Votes for one independent candidate in Kentucky for U.S. Congress won't count.

A judge ruled that Forefathers party candidate Everett Corley isn't eligible to appear on the ballot for Kentucky's 3rd district.

He was disqualified because he wasn't registered as an independent at the beginning of this year.

Corley was also defeated in the Republican primary for the 3rd district, which disqualifies him from running in the general election. He was set to run against Democrat John Yarmuth and Republican Harold Bratcher.
