LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A volunteer firefighter is charged with setting more than a dozen suspicious fires over the last week in southern Indiana.

Over several days, brush fires were set near Leavenworth in Crawford County.

On Wednesday night, 27-year-old Brian Stonecipher was arrested and charged with several counts of arson and criminal mischief. Investigators say Stonecipher is a Leavenworth Volunteer Firefighter and would go out and fight the fires after setting them.

He's accused in 15 arsons, including one in March on Hoosier National Forest property and two attempted fires at a vacant church.
