LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Slugger has completely sold out of the limited-edition bats it created to commemorate the Chicago Cubs' World Series win.

And they did it all in one day.

According to a news release, the Louisville-based bat manufacturer sold all 2,016 of the limited-edition bats on Thursday.

"No previous World Series commemorative bats have ever sold out that quickly," said Sally George, spokesperson for Louisville Slugger, in an e-mail. "While the Cubs World Series limited-edition bats are gone, we still have several attractive and popular designs available online and in our gift shop for local walk-ins."

Just like this year, Louisville Slugger was part of the last Cubs’ championship in 1908. The historic brand has been part of every World Series played since the very first one in 1903.
