The Eagle plans to open in former El Camino site next week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The restaurant moving into the former El Camino site on Bardstown Road is scheduled to open early next week.

The Eagle Food and Beer Hall serves fried chicken, beer, salads and sides. The menu is the same for both lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to midnight.

There are three other Eagle locations in Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Columbus. The general manager of the new location says the restaurant uses only high-quality chicken.

"Free-range, amish-raised chickens," Gregory Huertas said. "Our chickens are brined for 24 hours. We also double-dredge our chickens, and they're served with spicy honey on the side."

A spokesperson for El Camino says it will reopen at another smaller location, however it's unclear at this time where or when.
