LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Celebrating women with disabilities.

The 20th annual Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky pageant took place Saturday at Jefferson Community and Technical College.

Beth Bryant took the title for 2017.

She has Spina Bifida, and plans to use her platform to educate people about the defect.

"To know that I've got this title and to be able to go in the state of Kentucky and advocate for people that do have disabilities, it's just going to be amazing. It's gonna be an amazing year starting in 2017," Bryant said.

Alena Chesser, who took the title last year, says she will help Bryant get used to being Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky.

As for what she'll miss most, Chesser says, wearing a crown!
