LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Lamar Jackson scored seven touchdowns against Boston College Saturday but it was one touchdown in particular that had a lot of people talking Saturday after the game.
After running in for another score in the third quarter against the Eagles, Jackson moved his hand across his face in a manner that some thought was a throat slash.
Shortly after the game, per U of L, Jackson issued a written statement clarifying the move.
“‘After my 53-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, I made a motion that is being misinterpreted incorrectly by some. I moved my hand over my mouth in a gesture that my teammates and I refer to as “zip it.”
Jackson was not penalized for the motion Saturday.
