LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson held a news Monday to discuss an arrest made in connection with a homicide that took place in Floyd County over the weekend.

On Saturday night, police went to a home on State Road 60. Police say Duffy fled out the back of the home.

According to authorities, Duffy fired a weapon at officers. No police officers were hit.

Police say Duffy was located inside a home on Sunday morning lying under a pool table. The home's owner held Duffy at gunpoint until police arrived.

Investigators say Duffy was taken into custody without incident. He was turned over to police in Floyd County.

Several other people have also been arrested, including Duffy's father, Todd, and his girlfriend, Chelsea Wilson.

Todd Duffy, 55, is charged with resisting law enforcement and possession of a syringe. Sondra Duffy, 52, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance and false informing. Chelsea Wilson, 20, is charged with resisting law enforcement and assisting a criminal.

All of the suspects are expected to be charged on Monday.

Police say the motive for the crime was robbery and burglary. Floyd County Sheriff Frank Loop says it resulted in a homicide. Sheriff Loop also says authorities believe there will be at least one more arrest.

Sheriff Loop said that the victim, identified by officials as 68-year-old Lewis Morrison, was Todd Duffy's landlord. Sheriff Loop stated he doesn't believe the robbery was ever worth the loss of life.

"The motive at this point was a robbery and burglary," Loop said. "When we get down to the bottom of this case, it comes down to one thing -- one thing -- and it's drugs. These people wanted to rob someone so they could buy more drugs."

The investigation began Saturday after a man was found dead and his truck went missing.

Just before 1 p.m. Saturday, Sheriff Loop says there was a call of a possible home break-in on Vale Hill Drive in Floyds Knobs.

The caller also reported finding a body inside. Investigators identified the person as Morrison, and say he lived at the home.

Sheriff Loop says Morrison's truck was also missing and has not yet been recovered. Police are asking for help in locating the vehicle, which is a white Ford F-150 pickup truck with an Indiana plate number of AL304. On Monday morning, police released a photograph of a truck similar to the truck that was stolen.
