LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kroger store located at Southland Terrace will close later this month, according to a news release.

Officials say the store will officially close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Authorities say the store "has lost significant profits for 10 straight years, including $4.3 (million) the last 5 years."

Shoppers will still be able to use three other Kroger stores within three miles of the Southland Terrace location, including a new MarketPlace store that's 2.1 miles away.

Officials say the 108 Kroger employees affected by the store's closing will be offered jobs at other Kroger stores in Louisville with the same wages and benefits.
