Suspect in Jeffersonville, Ind. child molestation case pleads not guilty

Posted: Updated:

JEFFERSONVILLE, In. (WDRB) -- New details are emerging in a disturbing child molestation case in Jeffersonville.

On Monday, 23-year-old Michael Weston pleaded not guilty.

Court documents obtained by WDRB say Weston followed an 8-year-old last Wednesday into a bathroom at Bob Hedge Park.

According to investigators, Weston admitted to threatening the child's life with a knife.

The boy's babysitter, Mark Wilson, has a warning for other parents. "Other people who had children there need to talk to their children about things that could happen there. There's plenty of children who go over and are unattended by themselves. They ought to be warned and told the severity of what went on," Wilson said.

Weston is in jail, charged with child molestation, criminal confinement and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
