Providence High School upgrading field house

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- It's out with the old and in with the new at Providence High School in southern Indiana.

Students were on hand to watch demolition begin outside Murphy Stadium Tuesday afternoon. Old restrooms and concession stands were destroyed to make way for a new field house entrance.

There will also be new restrooms, concessions, and locker rooms.

"We're very excited," said Tony Perito with Providence High School. "We had a raffle actually to give people a chance to come and take a swing at this. We raised a little bit of money to do this, and the people who won are terrifically excited about it."

This part of the project cost about $700,000, and is expected to be finished by March.
