LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is facing charges after he was involved in a crash with an unmarked LMPD police car Wednesday night.

It happened around 8:30 Wednesday night on Dixie Highway at Saint Andrews Church Road. That's where investigators say 53-year-old Charles Briscoe was trying to turn left when he crashed into an unmarked LMPD car. Police say Briscoe failed to yield the right of way.

Briscoe and the LMPD officer were both taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Briscoe was arrested and booked into Metro Corrections early Thursday. He's charged with DUI and driving without insurance. He's currently being held without bond.
