LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville teen on robbery and theft charges.

Darius Montgomery, 18, was arrested Monday. According to police records, Montgomery and a juvenile co-defendant got into a vehicle in the 8400 block of Terry Road, near West Pages Lane and Dixie Highway, on October 12, 2016. Police say Montgomery and the co-defendant took items from the vehicle that totaled $400.

According to police, Montgomery also took part in another alleged crime on November 5, 2016. Police say Montgomery and two juvenile co-defendants took part in a robbery.

Authorities say as a juvenile was walking by, one of Montgomery's co-defendants placed a gun to the victim's head and stole a cell phone.

Officials say the Montgomery and a co-defendant allegedly tried to sell the stolen cell phone at the eco ATM at a Kroger store, located on Terry Road.

Police say the handgun that was used in the alleged robbery was recovered at Montgomery's home.
