SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) -- Escorted out of the Shelbyville Police Department on Tuesday afternoon, Connor Baskett donned a Pokémon T-shirt.

An apparent fan of the franchise, investigators say the 24-year-old would play the once-popular "Pokémon Go" all around Shelbyville.

“When he would see a female that he felt was attractive, he would pull over in a parking lot, get out and basically expose his genitals to them,” said Trooper Eddie Whitworth with Kentucky State Police.

A little before 3:30 p.m. Monday, Whitworth says Baskett was in his red Ford Focus and followed a female victim from the Shelby County Library, labeled a Pokéstop, at Eighth and Washington over to the area of Washington Street and Alton Road where he got out of his car, exposed himself, then drove off.

Whitworth says Baskett showed up Tuesday at the same spot around the same time.

“Within briefly speaking with him, he did admit to exposing himself,” Whitworth said. “He’s admitted to other circumstances, that he’s done this before inside the city limits of Shelbyville.”

Mykayla Smith, 15, says the suspect has shown up twice outside of her Shelbyville home.

“He had a beard, darker hair and that’s really all I saw of his face. He stopped right beside me, he opened his door and he didn’t have on no pants,” said Smith. “I get nervous whenever I walk around by myself. I’m paranoid about everything because I think he’s gonna be there.”

Whitworth is urging any possible victims to contact Kentucky State Police or Shelbyville Police so more charges can brought against Baskett.
