Victim's daughter speaks out about Floyds Knobs homicide
Lewis Morrison was shot and killed in his Floyds Knobs home.
FLOYDS KNOBS, Ind. (WDRB) -- After getting a phone call that changed her life forever, it is the unfortunate sadness Lynn Morrison finds herself in the middle of Thursday.
"It was devastating to hear that someone killed him," Morrison said.
Her dad, Lewis Morrison, was shot and killed in his Floyds Knobs home. The motive was apparently money.
"We believe that a robbery was planned. A robbery occurred," Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson said.
Police say it happened at the hands of James Duffy and Chelsea Wilson.
"Miss Wilson had stayed in that house at times," Henderson said.
Lynn Morrison tells us she doesn't have to understand the specifics to decide what is a suitable punishment.
"I'll be happy to see them die. I want to watch the life drain from their eyes when they finally die for what they did to him," Lynn Morrison said.
Henderson hasn't ruled the death penalty out, but loved ones also say there is at least one other person who should still be on the hook. They say another woman lived downstairs, knew about Morrison's money and may have left a basement door unlocked.
"He was just trying to help these people that he let live in his house, and they took advantage of him," Lynn Morrison said.
For now, a broken daughter will work to clean up what took her dad years to build, while vowing to see a trial through.
