LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a victim that was shot on Ratcliffe Avenue has died.

This is according to a post made Saturday morning on the Louisville Metro Police Facebook page.

Authorities say the victim died overnight from his injuries and the case is now being investigated as a homicide.

Family members of the victim have identified him as 19-year-old Stephan Faulkner.

Police are looking for suspects after two people were shot Thursday night in the Hallmark neighborhood.

It happened just before 9 p.m. outside a home in 2300 block of Ratcliffe Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene to find two black males in their late teens suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both men were transported to University Hospital.

Police say this isn't the first time they've been called to that neighborhood. So far, police don't have any suspects, and they're asking for witnesses to come forward as they continue to collect evidence.

It's still early into the investigation, but here's what detectives say they think happened.

"Right now it looks like there was a group of people on the porch and that's where the victims were, on the porch, so it appears that the victims did know each other," said Lt. Emily McKinley. "As far as if it was a drive by, or you know, people coming up, we're still looking into everything and exploring all of our options."

To help with funeral costs, Faulkner's family has set up a memorial fund at Autotruck Credit Union.
