LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested after police say he robbed and beat a victim.

Eric Taylor, 29, was arrested Friday. According to police records, the alleged incident happened on Friday in the 1700 block of Wilson Avenue, near South 17th Street.

Police say Taylor waived his Miranda Rights and admitted in a video-taped statement that he and a co-defendant "unlawfully entered the residence" and stole the victim's property.

Authorities say during the robbery, the victim allegedly was beaten by Taylor and his co-defendant.

According to police, Taylor was also "in possession of a suspected baggie of heroin, and three baggies of spice." Police also say Taylor had a cell phone and television that belonged to the victim in his possession.

Taylor is charged with robbery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of synthetic drugs.
