Louisville home hit by gunfire while family planned funeral inside

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville family is in hiding after bullets ripped through their home.

Several people were inside the Ratcliffe Avenue home, including a 6-year-old child, when they say someone opened fire Sunday night.

A spokesperson says the family was planning a funeral when about 15 shots hit the house.

"They basically said that they heard the volley of shots, and then they hit the floor," community activist Christopher 2X said.

This latest shooting came days after Stephan Faulkner, 19, was killed in a drive-by shooting. He and a friend were sitting on the porch when they were hit. His friend is expected to survive.

Faulkner's half brother, Benjamin Turner, was killed back in August.
