Louisville Urban League guaranteeing job placement after training program
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Urban League is guaranteeing a job to anyone who completes its 10-week training program.
The Louisville Urban League has launched Kentuckiana Builds. The program is open to anyone, but aimed at helping women and minorities find construction jobs.
About a dozen people showed up for orientation, but there's room for hundreds more.
"We need people just to come in here and be willing to work, you know, whatever you don't have, we can work with you on getting it, that's what we need," said Louisville Urban League President & CEO Sadiqa Reynolds. "We need people who are willing to learn, willing to work and are going to be committed."
