LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are asking for the public's help to find a vehicle they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a child with serious injuries Monday night.

The crash happened at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Bicknell Avenue, at around 6 p.m. Police say a child ran into the roadway and was hit by three separate vehicles. The child was transported to the hospital with what police say are serious injuries.

On Tuesday, police asked the public for help to find a yellow Volkswagon Beetle that they say was involved in the crash, but did not stop. Police say the vehicle may have damage to the left front and side of the vehicle. The image included with this story was provided by police and portrays a vehicle similar to the one police say was involved in the crash -- but it is not that exact vehicle.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at (502) 574-LMPD.
