Brothers continue 4-year tradition of giving turkeys to cancer patients

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two brothers are making Thanksgiving a little easier for those battling cancer.

Alex and Tommy Gift  gave out more than 100 turkeys to patients at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. The pair lost their mother in 2010 after a more than 20-year long fight with breast cancer.

To honor her memory, they started the Mary Jane Gift Quality of Life Fund, and are giving those with cancer one less thing to worry about this holiday season.

This is the fourth year for the distribution, sponsored by the Gift brothers.
