Judge calls wheelchair-bound man accused of murder a 'danger to the community'

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A judge called a Louisville man charged with murder and robbery "a danger to the community" Friday morning.

Anthony Taylor was in a wheelchair this morning as he went before a judge. He's charged with the murder of Leroy Williams, who was found dead last Friday in an alley off Dixie Highway.

Neighbors say Williams had two winning lottery tickets with him when he was shot.

Taylor was also hurt in the shooting and was arrested after being released from the hospital.

Investigators say Anthony Taylor and another man -- Eric Taylor-- have been charged in a robbery that occurred earlier that same day. Police say the two men went into a home on Wilson Avenue, attacked a person and took their belongings.

Taylor's bond was set at $100,000 full cash, and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
