LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – It did not take long for the Louisville Cardinals to hire a new volleyball coach.
A little over a week after the resignation of Anne Kordes, the school announced the hiring of Dani Busboom Kelly as the new head coach.
Busboom Kelly comes to the Cardinals from Nebraska where she spent the last five years as an assistant.
“When I heard there was a possibility of Anne resigning, I thought that would be a job I would want,” said Busboom Kelly. “Leaving my alma mater is not an easy decision but Louisville made it easy.”
Busboom Kelly won two national titles at Nebraska, one as a player and one as an assistant coach.
In 2011, she served one year as an assistant at Louisville.
