Local business will hang your Christmas lights for you

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -

It's not the sound of reindeer on the roof ... It's the sound of the Window Genies on the roof.

“We do a full service, holiday light program,” said Charlie Caravello, owner of Window Genie and Your Holiday Lights.

The service, called Your Holiday Lights, is for “really anyone that doesn’t want to get on a ladder,” Caravello said.

It starts with a quote on your home. You pick out a design, and they supply the customized LED lights and the man power.

“I can make a lot of recommendations and show a lot of things we have done,” Caravello said. “We have anything from $500 all the way up to as much as $6,000. It all depends on how elaborate you want it.”

Some customers choose to hang a little more than 100 lights, while others hang thousands.

“We service it. If you have so much as one bulb out, we go out and fix it. Tyler and I have fixed lights on Christmas Eve, because they were having a big party and they wanted to make sure everything was perfect,” Caravello said.

Combined with window washing and light hanging, November is the busiest month for the Window Genies. The company grows more every year. They'll hang lights all the way through the end of December. Last year, they had a job on Dec. 21.

“Someone forgot they were having a party and last-minute decided they needed their house lit up for Christmas,” Caravello said.

After the holidays are over, the Window Genies even take care of the clean-up and storage for next year.
