LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A group of Kentucky public school teachers are taking state leaders to court over the state's Teachers' Retirement System.
A lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Frankfort. It claims former lawmakers failed to properly fund the pension system.
Governor Matt Bevin, Kentucky Senate President Robert Stivers and outgoing House Speaker Greg Stumbo are all named as defendants in the case.
A spokeswoman for Governor Bevin says the governor is "intent on fixing the country's worst funded pension system."
