LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- Two people were hospitalized after a pickup truck crashed into The UPS Store on East Broadway early Thursday.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash that happened around 6:20 a.m. at the intersection of South Shelby Street and East Broadway. The driver of a white Chevy Malibu told WDRB's Pete Ruiz that she collided with a black Toyota Tundra that was headed the wrong way on South Shelby Street. After hitting her car, she says the pickup truck slammed into the UPS building, causing it to partially collapse.

According to LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, a man from out of town was driving the pickup truck northbound on South Shelby Street, which is one way going southbound. Mitchell says the driver entered into the intersection of Broadway and Shelby, hitting the Chevy Malibu that was westbound on Broadway.

Mitchell says the Toyota Tundra then hit the UPS building.

The driver and passenger from the Toyota were taken to University Hospital with minor injuries, according to Mitchell.

No other injuries were reported. At this time no charges are expected.

South Shelby Street is shut down at Broadway while crews clean up the scene.
