LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they are investigating after a man who was assaulted last month died from his injuries.
According to a news release from police, LMPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Algonquin Parkway and Rodman Street on Monday, Nov. 21, just before 4:30 p.m., after they received a report that a man had been assaulted at that location.
When officers arrived, they found a white male in his 60s who had been assaulted. Police say he was taken to University Hospital for treatment and remained there until Thursday, when he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy performed Friday, determined that the man died as a result of the injuries he sustained during that assault. Consequently, his death has been classified as a homicide.
