Harrison County Police investigating fatal crash

HARRISON COUNTY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Harrison County Police are investigating after a fatal accident Saturday.

Officials say it happened around 12:40 p.m. at state road 135 and Whiskey Run Road.

According to a release, a Ford Ranger was driving north on state road 135 when it ran into the back of a Chevy Silverado that was stopped and waiting to turn left onto Whiskey Run Road. 

After that initial collision, the Ranger went into the southbound lane and was struck by a Jeep Liberty, causing the Ranger to spin and the driver to be ejected. 

The Ranger then struck a Ford Expedition before it came to a stop. 

The driver of the Ranger was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Chevy was taken to the hospital and the driver of the Jeep was flown to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. 

Authorities are continuing to the investigation. No names have been released.
