LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Someone stole new basketball jerseys meant for students at Brown High School in Louisville.

Principal Angela Parsons confirmed to WDRB News on Monday that someone broke into the head coach's car where she works downtown and stole 18 jerseys.

The jerseys were brand new and had just been purchased with money raised by the students through a "free-throw-athalon" and selling ads in the school's winter sports program.

Each jersey was personalized with the players' name on the back.

A GoFundMe account has already raised more than $1,000 for new jerseys. Click here to donate.
