Report finds more than 200 people diagnosed with HIV in Scott County, Ind., in 2016
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 200 people have been diagnosed with HIV in Scott County, Ind., since last year.
That's just one of the findings in a lengthy report just released by the Indiana Governor's Task Force on Drugs.
Gov.Mike Pence formed the group last year at the height of the Scott County epidemic. It recommends harsher penalties for drug dealers in the Hoosier state, creating prescribing guidelines for chronic pain medicine and expanding drug treatment in jail.
