LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former U of L basketball star Kyle Kuric is asking for the community's help to give holiday cheer to children spending Christmas in the hospital.

He's collecting items for his annual toy drive, "Kyle's Korner for Kids."

One year ago, Kuric spearheaded the drive while in the hospital himself recovering from brain surgery. He's healthy now, and back in Spain playing basketball.

His family and friends will be collecting toys at the U of L - EKU basketball game on Saturday, December 17.

They will be delivered to children at Norton Children's Hospital and Home of the Innocents.
