LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested on a charge of attempted murder after authorities say he tried to kill his brother.

Courtney Pierce, 27, was arrested early Wednesday morning, after turning himself in at Metro Corrections.

According to the arrest warrant, Pierce allegedly drove past the victim's home on November 9, 2016 and fired several shots at the victim who was standing outside.

Authorities say the victim was hit once in the face and another shot went through the victim's window.

Officials say after Pierce fired the shots, he left the area in a black Chevy Impala. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for "a severe laceration to (the) face."

In addition to the attempted murder charge, Pierce is also charged with assault, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.
