Magazine names Louisville as one of the best cities for retirement
Louisville is profiled in the January/February issue of "Where to Retire" magazine.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville has been selected as a top retirement destination by Where to Retire, the only magazine in America geared toward helping people with retirement relocation decisions.
The city is profiled in the January/February 2017 issue, available nationwide on Dec.13.
Where to Retire Editor Annette Fuller said Louisville possesses several important qualities that retirees desire, including Churchill Downs, a vibrant culture with "the oldest Shakespeare festival in the country, arguably the best bourbon in the world and the University of Louisville with 16,000 undergraduates."
Where to Retire magazine was launched in 1992 with the goal of helping its readers find the ideal place to retire. It is published six times a year.
