Family divided by love for Cards and Cats add basketball humor to Christmas card

Posted: Updated:

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) -- It's a holiday greeting any divided Kentucky home can appreciate. The Albertson family is wishing folks a "Merry Christmas" this year with a little basketball humor.

Matthew Albertson, the principal at West Jessamine Middle School says the holiday greeting was his daughter's creation. It says: "may there be peace in our world, in our nation, and in our family during basketball season." The card is signed Mattie, Matt, Michael, Cricket..... and Isaiah.

It's fair to say Isaiah may be the odd man out in his family when it comes to college basketball season. The card's photo shows the family in UK apparel, with Isaiah on his own in a U of L sweatshirt.

Matthew Albertson did stress the family "really all love each other."
