LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- He's dazzled fans, shocked opponents and made Louisville football part of the national conversation.

Now, many consider Lamar Jackson the front-runner for an award no other U of L football player has ever won, the Heisman Trophy.

From the office of the athletic director to the center of Cardinal nation and all the spots in between, everyone is anxious to talk about Saturday night in the Big Apple.

"The whole campus is excited," one student said.

But there may not be anyone more qualified than a man who knows what it feels like to win. Louisville native and former Notre Dame quarterback Paul Hornung really likes Jackson's chances.

"I still think he's going to win it," Hornung said. "He's probably all-around the most talented football player we have in America."

He's even ready to talk about what happens after No. 8's stint with the Cards.

"He's going to be a number one draft pick, and he's going to be the kind of player that's going to play ten years in the pros," Hornung added.

Fans just want to enjoy the moment and bask in the Heisman spotlight shining bright on Louisville.

Holiday Square and The Sports and Social Club at Fourth Street Live! will host a Heisman Trophy Presentation "Watch Party."

It's at 8 p.m. Saturday.
