Southern Indiana Vintage Fire Museum hosts 'Snacks with Santa' event

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Santa came to town and he brought some snacks with him.

Jolly Ole' St. Nick stopped in Jeffersonville Saturday morning for 'Snacks with Santa.'

The Vintage Fire Museum and Safety Education Center hosted the event.

Kids got the chance to sit on vintage fire engines and have their photos taken with Santa.

Museum officials say it's a way for kids to also learn about the importance of firefighters and volunteering.

"We do not have any paid people employed here so anybody who does anything is volunteer and yes it helps us to pay the electric bill and helps us to pay the other expenses that we have," Curtis Peters said.

This is the fifth year for the Snacks with Santa event.

Other events throughout the year include auto shows and one for Valentine's Day.
