LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a man was attacked in the Chickasaw neighborhood Monday morning.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell, the incident took place at around 8:30 a.m. near S. 40th Street and Grand Avenue.

Police say officers were dispatched to the scene on what was originally reported as a shooting. Mitchell says the victim and the suspect got into an argument, when the suspect began beating the suspect in the head with a gun.

The suspect then fired several shots at the victim, but missed him, according to Mitchell.

Mitchell says the victim drove himself to the hospital. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect drove away. No arrests have been made.
