LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local organization needs a quarter of a million dollars by the end of the year.

The Home of the Innocents is short of its donation goal for the year, which is $2 million.

The home works with children in Kentuckiana, who are medically fragile, terminally ill, autistic or abused and neglected.

WDRB just wrapped up its community toy drive for the home. There's no final count yet, but at least 500 toys have been collected.

While the home has plenty of wrapping paper, it needs gift bags, which are easier for the kids to open.
