LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -

We're finally getting a look inside Louisville's $320 million Omni Hotel, although it's not finished yet.

Construction crews are currently working on the 12th out of 30 floors. There’s not much to see inside the building yet, but Omni released a virtual tour of the hotel.

“We are looking to the Omni to be a huge exclamation point in the excitement and momentum in the redevelopment and renaissance of our downtown,” Mayor Greg Fisher said Tuesday.

When visitors enter the library and old-fashioned cocktail bar, they might soon realize it's more like a small village than a downtown hotel.

“We now welcome 24 million tourist visits a year, and that's going to grow even more," Mayor Fischer said. "That's one of the reasons Omni was interested in locating to Louisville."

The Omni revealed the name of the urban marketplace. It will be called Falls City Market.

“Of course, the Falls of the Ohio River is where we are founded as a city,” Omni director of sales and marketing, Eamon O’Brien said.

There will be a Heine Brother’s coffee shop and two full-service restaurants; the Iron Quarter that serves pizza and beer and Bob's Steak and Chop House.

There will be a bowling alley and speakeasy, a spa and a rooftop pool. There will be one pool for hotel visitors and one for the people who live in the 225 luxury rental apartments.

“We have over 42,000 [hotel] rooms booked through 2023,” O’Brien said. “Right now, we don't have [apartment] floor plans or pricing yet. We're on pace to have those by about q3 or q4 in 2017.”

Even without a model floor plan yet, people are still signing up on the wait list for an apartment in the hotel.

The hotel is creating more than 700 construction jobs and more than 300 permanent jobs.

It's on track to open for the 2018 Kentucky Derby.
