LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky officials are offering special bank accounts to people with disabilities.

They are called Stable Accounts.

The accounts are a tax-free savings plan for disability-related expenses.

People with disabilities can save and invest money, without losing eligibility for federal programs like Medicaid and the Social Security Disability Insurance program.

Officials say the STABLE Kentucky accounts are similar to normal bank accounts, but the money can also be invested.
