LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Floyd County Council has filed a restraining order in an effort to keep the County Treasurer from putting money from the sale of Floyd Memorial Hospital back into a certificate of deposit.

$70 million was supposed to be given to the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana to invest. The council estimates that it is currently losing out on $35,000 a day in interest.

A council member says if the money isn't moved to the community foundation by Friday, the council will hold an emergency meeting Friday night to decide what to do next.
