LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are still looking for leads after a woman walked out of a house 10 years ago in Louisville and and has not been seen since.

Police and family members believe she is dead, but questions remain.

Family members and detectives with LMPD's Missing Person Unit want to know what happened to 43-year-old Elizabeth Brussow. She hasn't been seen since she walked out of a home and got into a semi truck near Churchill Downs in December of 2006.

"That was very unusual," said Brussow's daughter, Alice Messer. "I knew something was wrong. I contacted the police department, and 10 years later here we are."

After a several weeks of not hearing from her, family members filed a missing person report with LMPD. Detectives have been working the case ever since with few leads.

Police have also been monitoring Brussow's personal information with no hits.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD. Callers can remain anonymous.
