LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of children will be getting new bikes this Christmas, thanks to Toys for Tots.

More than 2,000 bikes collected during Q-103's "Bikes or Bust" campaign were delivered to Toys for Tots this morning. They will be given to needy children in Jefferson, Oldham, Spencer, Shelby and Henry Counties.

The local Toys for Tots is also sharing some of the bikes with other programs in Ft. Knox and Bowling Green.

More than a thousand of those bikes came from country music legend Garth Brooks.

"It means so much that he was able to help out all these little children around here, because it's one time of the year that everyone should not be forgotten," said Michael Rice with Toys for Tots.

During the Bikes of Bust campaign, Q-103 morning show host Dingo lived on a scissor lift for 103 hours.
